Preparation Checklist:
Make sure we have access to two working outdoor water spigots
Remove potted plants, furniture, and décor around the home’s perimeter
Notify us of any existing roof or gutter damage before service
Why Our Method Matters:
Using pressure washers, wire brushes, or harsh scrubbing can void your roof's warranty
The more abrasive the cleaning, the more risk of shingle damage
That's why Moss Boss uses a minimally invasive, two-step process recommended by major roofing manufacturers
Stage 1 – Initial Cleaning:
Technicians gently brush off large moss clumps using shingle-safe bristle brooms
We then apply a soft wash solution made of sodium hypochlorite and surfactant
Safe for plants (breaks down into salt after 15 minutes)
Ground technician actively waters vegetation to prevent damage
Gutters are cleaned out as part of the service
After the initial treatment, remaining moss may appear like cotton candy—light-colored and fluffy
This treated moss dies on contact and falls off naturally within 3–6 months
Stage 2 – 90-Day Roof Re-Treat:
Scheduled follow-up about 3 months later
We re-inspect the roof and gently remove any leftover moss
Additional soft wash is applied as needed for long-term protection
3-Year Warranty:
Free re-treat if visible moss returns within 3 years
Warranty is void if another company services the roof during this period

2-week warranty: limited to re-wash of standard glass (excludes hard water spots)
